Ingredients

  • 1 Package French Green Beans
  • 6 Baby Portobello Mushrooms
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Almonds

Instructions

Toast Almonds

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Place the almonds in one layer on a baking dish. Place in the preheated oven for around 8 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool.

Sauté Mushrooms

  1. Slice mushrooms thinly and mince garlic. Place with 2 tbsp of butter into a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 7 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Sauté Green Beans

  1. Wash and dry green beans. (Be sure to dry thoroughly.) If you have French green beans, leave the tops on. Otherwise, trim the tops and bottoms.

  2. Place 2 tbsp butter in a sauté pan. Heat over medium-high heat until fat is melted and bubbling.

  3. Add the green beans to the pan. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Remove the cover and cook for 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the mushrooms and garlic, toss. Pour into a serving dish and top with toasted slivered almonds.
