My fondest memories of Christmas are of the delicious smell of baking cookies wafting out from the kitchen as my mother rolled out dough on the counter. Since I was tiny, my mother and I have made cookie-baking a yearly tradition. We pick a Saturday, sort all our recipes, and spend the day baking and creating together in the warm kitchen. At the end we have trays and trays of delicious, pretty little Christmas treats. They made wonderful gifts! I’d take some to school for all of my teachers. She’d take trays to the hospital for her coworkers. (And of course we’d save a few cookies for my dad!) Over the years we compiled a list of our absolute favorites, the ones that were always hits. I can’t wait to share them with you.
